What we are looking for

Our guild of analysts is looking for a Product Owner who’s able to read the minds of our clients to predict their needs and then translate them to a team of different experts. As a Product Owner, you will be the cornerstone of the various projects assigned to you. For instance, you will be the project manager’s main ally and will work in close collaboration with them. Your main role will be to act as a facilitator for UX and UI design teams as well as the development and QA teams. You will also be in charge of writing specifications. In sum, you will be called upon to take part in myriad projects and will answer to the Analytics and Specifications Department Director.

As a Product Owner at Tink, you represent the interests of our clients within internal design and development teams. You will be the guardian of the project’s scope and requirements. You will also be a functional analyst who will have to document specifications for the design and development teams. You will be aware of emerging technologies and have a very good grasp of the web and its challenges. You will also be very comfortable interacting with clients and be able to guide them in their choices.

If you like taking on challenges and you feel at ease working on several projects at once, if coordinating teams appeals to you and you are bilingual (French and English), this position is for you.

Your tasks will include:

  • Speaking with clients to define their functional and application requirements ;
  • Being the guardian of the project’s scope ;
  • Managing backlogs and documenting user stories in line with the Scrum/Agile methodology in the Jira platform ;
  • Making sure clients’ functional requirements align with those documented in the requirements register and/or service offering ;
  • Writing functional specifications (mainly in Confluence and Jira) ;
  • Making sure UX and UI teams, developers, and QA specialists understand the project’s requirements ;
  • Defining and mapping functional streams ;
  • Playing an active part in various Scrum/Agile ceremonies ;
  • Negotiating changes related to the project’s requirements and scope with the client and internal project team ;
  • Present/host work sessions with clients (analysis presentations, training sessions, demos, etc.).

You are the right person if you are or have:

  • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position ;
  • Understand the development cycle, technical challenges, and complexities associated with web development.
  • Are bilingual (French and English, written and spoken) ;
  • Are organized and able to plan your work ahead of time ;
  • Are comfortable with the Atlassian Suite (mainly Jira and Confluence), a major asset ;
  • Have a university IT degree or experience equivalent.
